The Animation Project (TAP) is a therapeutic workforce development program that provides NYC youth with technical skills, professional development, and emotional resources they will need to pursue careers in the animation field.

I graduated from TAP's intensive animation training program in which a cohort of 12 creators were introduced to Autodesk Maya and Unreal Engine. Under the supervision of professional animators, we each created a short 3D animation.

Final Animation

This project is inspired by Rachael Smythe's webcomic Lore Olympus; a modern retelling of the Greek myth,

'The Abduction of Persephone.'

Project Notes

The project called for a 3D scene that features a character climbing. Climbing animations were resourced from Mixamo.

I wanted to reimagine Hermes delivering Persephone from the underworld. The focus is on Hermes with him as the

climbing character.
